Located on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, Portsea Golf Club presents a significant challenge despite its short length of 5,747 meters from the tips. The course is built on the natural rolling dunes next to the Point Nepean National Park, its fairways are lined by coastal tea tree and native shrubbery, and dramatic elevation changes offer stunning views of the bay and the course. The layout features a number of blind tee shots and tight approaches into elevated greens which require consistent accuracy throughout.
As is the case with many of the Mornington Peninsula courses, there are plenty of opportunities to record a good score, at the same time, a high number is never too far away.
While Portsea is a members club, it is open to the public throughout the week, including Sundays. A multi-million dollar redevelopment of the club house and resort was unveiled in 2013. This facility is available to be used for functions, weddings and corporate events.
